Parish Meetings

During Covid-19 Parish Council’s were given the power by central government to hold meetings remotely (Online via facilities such as Zoom). That legislation has now come to an end as the Government have not extended that power beyond the beginning of May.

Therefore Parish Council’s must now legally meet in person as per the usual way. This means that as Covid-19 is still present there is an increased risk of infection having Councillors and members of the public in a shared space.

Fulford Parish Council will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the Council meets in the safest way possible for both Councillors and any members of the public. As members of the public are legally permitted to attend council meetings it is difficult to completely manage the event in advance. Therefore to make the situation as safe and simple as possible we ask that any members of the public wishing to attend register themselves with the clerk via email clerk@fulfordparishcouncil.gov.uk or 01782 385187.

On arrival all members of the public will be asked to use hand sanitiser, sit in designated seats, wear a face covering (unless exempt) and register themselves either via our forms on the evening or via the NHS app.
